Melbourne Cup, Tuesday 3 November. $65 per person, 3 course trifecta. Glass of bubbles on arrival. Entree, choice of: antipasto skewers (prosciutto, bocconcini, cherry tomato and basil skewers with balsamic glaze, served with bread) or prawn cocktail (king prawns, chiffonade lettuce, lemon with cocktail sauce). Mains, choice of: crispy skin snapper with a seafood bisque risotto and charred broccolini, or tender slow cooked lamb shank with sweet potato puree, seasonal greens and rich jus. Dessert: sticky date with butterscotch sauce, or mortal sin cake served with cream. Official sweeps from 11am. Race live on big screens 3pm. Bookings essential. The Mawson Club, Blue Note Lounge.
